Privacy policy

In short: We collect only what we need to deliver your order and improve our website. We never sell your data. We don't see or store your card details. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

Femi9 Energy is a brand of Akarma Living, a partnership firm at D No 22-7/1A, Rallaguda, Fort Grand Road, Shamshabad, Hyderabad, Telangana 501218, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit www.femi9energy.com or buy from us. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.

2. What we collect

  • Order details: your name, phone number, email, delivery and billing address, what you bought and how much you paid.
  • Payment status: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive a confirmation that you paid, but we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
  • Messages: what you send us by email or WhatsApp, for example when you ask a question or report a damaged order.
  • Website usage: pages you visit, products you view or add to cart, your device and browser type, approximate location (city level) and how you reached our site. We collect this with cookies and similar tools (see section 4).

We don't ask for or record information about your menstrual cycle or health. If you choose to share it with us in a message, we use it only to answer you.

3. How we use it

  • To process, ship and track your order, and to handle refunds and replacements.
  • To reply to your questions and complaints.
  • To send order updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To send offers and news, only if you've agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, or by messaging us.
  • To understand how our website is used, fix problems and improve it.
  • To prevent fraud, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting duties.

4. Cookies, analytics and session recording

We use these services to understand and improve our website:

  • Google Analytics and Google's advertising tools, to measure visits and purchases and to show our products on Google.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised sessions (clicks, scrolls and page movements) so we can see where the website is hard to use. Text you type, such as your name or address, is masked and not recorded.
  • Shopify's own cookies, which keep your cart and checkout working.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as the cart, may not work without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Who we share it with

We share your data only with service providers who help us run our business, and only what they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts our website and checkout.
  • Razorpay, which processes payments and refunds.
  • Courier partners, who need your name, phone and address to deliver.
  • Google and Microsoft, for the analytics described above.
  • WhatsApp and email providers, when we message you.

We may also share data when the law requires it, for example with tax authorities or in response to a lawful request. We never sell your personal data. Some providers may store data outside India, under their own security and privacy commitments.

6. How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as Indian tax and accounting laws require. We keep other data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
  • correct or update it;
  • delete it, unless we have to keep it by law (for example, invoices);
  • stop using it for marketing, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.

To use any of these rights, email info@femi9energy.com. If you're not happy with our response, you can contact our Grievance Officer (below), and you also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Our website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to place the order for you.

9. Security

Our website and checkout use encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and payments are handled by Razorpay, a PCI DSS-compliant payment gateway. We limit access to your data to people who need it to serve you.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
