Our Story: A Problem, An Insight, A Solution

While researching wellness, we discovered a powerful home remedy for hormonal balance: seed cycling. When we spoke to women in our community, we found that nearly all of them faced challenges related to their menstrual cycle. However, when we introduced them to the DIY practice, it never lasted. The reason? It was tedious and inconvenient, and for women already giving 100% to everyone else, it was just one more task on an endless to-do list.

Our first thought wasn't to start a business but to share. We started talking to the women in our lives—our friends, sisters, and mothers. And the more we talked, the more we heard the same story: struggles with cramps, unpredictable cycles, mood swings, and low energy that were just accepted as "part of being a woman."

Excited, we shared the practice of seed cycling. And at first, they loved it! But soon, life got in the way. The daily routine of measuring and eating seeds became a tedious chore. We suggested grinding them into powders for smoothies and salads, but that again became a task for them.

This "failure" was our most important lesson. The problem wasn't a lack of desire for better health. It was a lack of energy. We saw firsthand how the women we admire use every ounce of their energy to care for their families, their responsibilities, their careers, and their homes, leaving absolutely nothing for themselves at the end of the day. They weren't prioritising themselves last; there was often no "self" left on the priority list at all.

We also noticed what they were reaching for in those moments of exhaustion: tea, coffee, energy drinks, sugary treats, and snacks for a quick burst of energy or to satisfy a craving. These snacks and drinks, full of processed sugars and nasty additives, were only making the hormonal rollercoaster worse.

That's when the real idea struck: What if we could make the healthy choice the easy choice? What if we could turn those raw seeds into the very treat they were craving?

So we got to work. We didn't just add the seeds; we thoughtfully curated a blend of other powerful ingredients—rich cocoa for its antioxidant properties and mood-lifting benefits, mineral-rich pink salt to support hydration and electrolyte balance, soothing Gond Katira to aid in cooling and digestion, balancing cinnamon to help regulate blood sugar and support hormonal health, naturally sweet dates for sustained energy and hormonal support, and oat extract powder to nourish the gut and calm the nervous system—all known to support women's overall well-being.

 

The result was magic. The women who tried our new creation, the "Semi," didn't just like it—they loved it. They started swapping their sugary snacks for this delicious, guilt-free treat. And after a little while, the real stories began to pour in. They felt their energy levels stabilise. Their moods felt brighter. The monthly cramps became less of a battle. But it didn't stop there—many shared how it gently supported them through PMS, eased symptoms of PCOS, and even brought comfort during perimenopause and menopause. It became more than a snack—it became a small, daily ritual of care through every phase of womanhood.
